Recycling

We are proud to have created a closed loop system where, at end-of-life, our product is either biodegradable or fully recyclable. We wanted to be a completely plastic-free business but could not find an alternative for the plastic stopper in the top of the hot water bottles. The plastic we use for the stopper is the same plastic used in milk containers and recycled the same way or sent back to us along with the rest of the bottle.

All of our knitwear is made from 100% natural fibres. Our wools are either lambswool or a blend of 75% virgin cashmere and 25% recycled cashmere. All labels are 100% organic cotton and printed with soya ink and attached with 100% cotton. This means it is a lot easier to recycle the knitwear at end-of-life and it is also fully biodegradable.

Packaging

All of our cardboard packaging and labels are made from 100% recycled card and are printed with soy ink. These are all 100% recyclable. The string attaching our hang tags is made from 100% organic cotton. Our mailer bags are biodegradable as is our packaging ribbon and greeting card bags.

Greeting Cards

Our digital cards are printed on 100% recycled card and our riso print cards are printed on 80% recycled card. The ink used in our riso print cards is soy based.

Wairm Rubber Hot Water Bottles

Wairm offers an innovative recycling solution for our hot water bottles. Simply fill in the form below and we will send you a prepaid envelope or package for you to return your Wairm bottle in. We will place this in our Zero Waste Box™ at our head office.  These will then be sent back to TerraCycle® for recycling. Instead of being landfilled or incinerated, the contents of the box will be sorted and turned into raw materials that can be reused.
